Institute

The institute was registered in December 1996 and began operating in Tampere on  Yliopistonkatu in 1997. The members of the administration have remained unchanged throughout the history of the institute. The business side of the operation has significant know-how in both offering educational products and in financial administration. From the beginning students have been prepared for the  hair care professional examination and for the  massage therapy professional exam

At the professional institute we teach:

Beauty field

Health care field

Our institute prepares students for the official professional massage examination. These examinations administered by the Training Administration carry a lot of weight when it comes to higher education, the job market, pay grades and demonstrating professionalism.
The professional massage therapist examination is official. The examinations are revised every 4-5 years to keep them current with work-place requirements. The Ministry of Education appoints the  Training Administration.
Our students are entitled to receive financial support from KELA.
We offer multi-faceted training to meet the requirements of the work-place in Finland and internationally. We support our graduates as they move into the workplace by offering internship positions. Based on general monitoring, out graduates have succeeded well in employment. Employers value broad based know-how and professional skills. Among our international partners is the Bournemouth Professional Trade School in England, with whom we started having student exchanges in the spring of 2009. Through these, exchanges students from Bournemouth also become familiar with our institute.
Our institute strives to keep up with the times. From the beginning we have cultivated international contacts as well as developed supplementary courses to the basic program. By taking advantage of the supplementary courses students can prepare for several skilled trades. We are also the first school in Finland to develop such combined programs.

We will continue to develop our course offerings and internationalize. Our students make study trips to England and Sweden. Partners and networking are essential features of education. Through cooperation we receive many kinds of opportunities to create something new and help each other develop our operations. We will continue to work with both the public and private sector.

The school has supported its graduates in many ways: Employment, letters of recommendation to employers and higher education in Finland and around the world. Customer service is an important part of education and we want to give our customers a vote of thanks since, without hands on practise, it is not possible to develop professional skills.

Our institute has an enthusiastic and creative staff that wants to offer students quality instruction and the opportunity to learn in a trustworthy environment. Our creativity and self-sufficiency has been noticed and the City of Tampere gave us an award in 2000.
